From Pastor Adam:

This upcoming week represents the most memorable in Christianity. We pause and focus on the events surrounding the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus. While we love the special events, sometimes the message gets lost. Every day I am reminded of what took place on Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday two thousand years ago. Hardly a day goes by without someone telling me that their faith in Jesus has gotten them through a difficult time. The Apostle Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 15:

19 If in Christ we have hope in this life only, we are of all people most to be pitied.

20 But in fact Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. (1 Corinthians 15:19–20 ESV)

I hope you have been inviting your friends and family to join us on Sunday evening for our Easter Musical. Not only will you be blessed by our choir, but the message of Ransomed & Redeemed will point us to Jesus and what He accomplished on the cross.

We have a unique opportunity to host the Limestone Ministerial Association’s annual Community Good Friday Service at noon on Friday. After the service, we will walk around the East End carrying a Cross to help remind people what the day represents.

On Saturday, April 16, bring your kids to the church for our Easter Egg Hunt, and join us on Easter Sunday for a spectacular day of Worship.

We have hope because HE IS RISEN!!!

Faithfully,

Pastor Adam

Pray for the Nations: CHINA

  • Missions vision is strong, and the Chinese Church sends out workers to both unreached minorities within China and unevangelized nations beyond. Some house-church networks have supported missions outreach to other provinces and to ethnic minorities for a long time. The Back to Jerusalem vision aims to send up to 100,000 missionaries from China throughout the unevangelized world. Some think China may become the greatest sending nation of the 21st century! Pray for good preparation to equip Christians and churches for this cross-cultural task. Pray for sensitivity and humility, especially for the dominant Han Chinese.

Pray for our Missionaries:

Jeremy Dager | Halifax, Novia Scotia, Canada

Jeremy Dager is a church planter apprentice serving Port City Church in Halifax, Novia Scotia, Canada.

  • Praise: The Lord continues to call His people to the mission of Halifax! Our launch team now consists of 19 adults and 17 children. These are families and individuals who have sought the Lord, have gone through the application process and have decided to covenant with us on mission.
  • Prayer: Please pray as the launch team will begin to periodically meet online starting this month. Also, continue to pray for our family as we wait for our immigration paperwork from the Canadian government. Pray that God would make a way for us to enter Canada in June.

Tea River People of South Asia

  • The Tea River People live in a majority Muslim area. During the Islamic month of Ramadan, Tea River Muslims fast from food, drink, and earthly pleasures from sunup to sundown, hoping to increase favor with Allah and tip the scales in their favor. As you pray for Tea River Muslims during Ramadan, plead with the Holy Spirit to work in their hearts and draw them to Himself, convicting of sin, righteousness, and the need for salvation through faith in Jesus alone. Pray for “divine appointments” between believers and Tea River Muslims who are hungry for truth, and ask that believers will boldly and courageously share the gospel. Pray that many Tea River Muslims will see the futility of a works-based faith and choose to accept the free gift of salvation through Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection. Pray that many will put their faith in Christ and share the good news with others.

Pray for our Leaders:

Please pray today for Courage

I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
1 Timothy 2:1-4
